How a Velbus system works

The most basic concept: one 15 V power supply, one input, one output, four wires. Every module hears every packet on the bus — only the linked channel acts. Press the glass panel to send a real Velbus frame, or tap the relay’s channel 1 light to switch it at the module.

Concept animation, not an installation guide. The frames are genuine Velbus packets with valid checksums — COMMAND_PUSH_BUTTON_STATUS (0x00) from the panel, COMMAND_RELAY_STATUS (0xFB) from the relay. Everything on the bus hears everything: the relay acts on the button frame because a software link says so, and the panel’s feedback halo follows the relay’s status broadcast rather than the press — which is why it lights a beat after the lamp, and why toggling the channel at the module updates the panel too.
